The pressure of a pressure cooker

Have you ever had a pressure cooker? You can be the scariest pots on the planet. I should know, I have a sheet before the lid was successful, or more than one.

Some people should just stay on the pressure. For me, the famous "pressure cooker" is by far the most frustrating I've ever used pot. Not that I have never understood, because I know of, but not often. In fact, there are a lot of pressure, I will not. But the pressure in a pressure cookeris not one of them.

Pressure Cooker

When I was a child I remember my grandmother, aunts and my mother with a pressure cooker. Oh, she has the best food in them. I can still taste the crispy fried chicken made my grandmother. And the stew of beef, ham and beans and soups. Then there was always my favorite as rice pudding, bread pudding and fruit cakes. I always knew when I got home from school and was a pressure cooker on the stove was hissing away, the dinner is fantastic.Many of our meals were cooked in a pot with 4 or 5 liters of pressure, but Gramma was coming off his big humongous pressure cooker to can fruits, vegetables, meat, and pretty much everything I could think of. I grew up helping my grandmother and mother in the kitchen, but was never allowed near their pressure cookers. At that time, I always thought that someday I would own my stove and prepare wonderful meals for my family.

As I said, I helped my mother and grandmotherKitchen. They taught me their wonderful recipes, methods and techniques, many of whom had learned from her own mother and Gramma. Why might I remind myself with standing on a chair to reach the counter, stove, so I cook cakes and frosting, mashed potatoes, bacon or whatever else happens to be going on in this wonderful mix kitchens. But let me tell you again, I never left near a pressure cooker. At the time I was 10, I could cook a dinner in my entire staff, unlesshad something to do with a pressure cooker. I always helped when mom and grandmother were always fruit and vegetables are ready. To collect the shelves, but never, never that big old pressure cooker. Oh, before I was mature at the age of 16 I got married, had all her recipes (even for a pressure cooker), but until today I had never used a pressure cooker.

Of course, when I got married and had a cuisine and my own mother and Gramma I had everything I couldshould be possible in a situation, any meal I wanted, and everything to serve in or on it, looks great remedy. Everything but a pressure cooker that is! So I am led to Sears and Robuck and bought me a shinny new pressure cooker.

It was about the third week of my marriage, when one morning I went into the pantry and came out on my new tank and started my ham and beans and started dinner. I washed the beans, a little 'carrot and chopped celery. I put my ham, beans,Celery, carrot in my new stove along with some salt, pepper, paprika and several cups of water. I needed to read each statement, because I saw this process done hundreds of times. I put the lid on my pressure cooker and turned on the burner. When steam began to escape from the pot I put the cursor on top of the pot and reduce heat. Now they are busy fixing the rest of the meal. I peeled the potatoes and onions for french fries, salad and washedthen fried a bit 'of bacon for wilted lettuce, and mixed the stuff for the cornbread. Everything went well together, when suddenly there was a loud cracking sound, a hissing sound and then everything just blew the lid pressure cooker, the sending of beans, ham, celery and carrots to the kitchen from ceiling to floor. I have never seen such chaos. Then there was this terrible dent in the wall where the lid struck with the force of a rocket. My God, is that what I do now?

Well, Ibusy cleaning the kitchen and finished 3 hours later. Needless to say, we ate that night. But I'm not complaining to get out, I like it.

It 'been a while' before I tried to use my new pressure cooker, but the time has come. It 'started on the meat market, one morning, when I was in front of the butcher case, peering in at all the beautiful pieces of meat. But I was in the mood to do something a little 'different. Well, we were! Hank Metzger was the only openingthe case in some of his wonderful September lean ribs. He had just cut and cut, they were so beautiful. So, I went in the basement, again with that wonderful pressure cooker. So I washed and loaded with good spare ribs, sauerkraut, brown sugar and water. Then I decided I would do a couple of potatoes, add, instead of solving them separately. So, as I have ever seen done by Gramma and Mama I'm doing to start the pressure cooker and wait for the steam to escape, before I put on 15 poundsPressure regulator on vent pipe and leaned over the fire. I looked at my arms and when it reaches 15 pounds. My ingredients needed to cook for 15 minutes, rocking with the regulator.

Thursday 'was, and although I have never been as hard a mother and grandmother, I prefer to make my board on Thursday, so I set up my ironing board and went to work. All the while he was stretching the piece out of my cage I was in the glorious music of the swing of listeningKnob on the top of my stove beautiful. I also keep an eye on the clock, then surely no more than to cook our dinner.

Than ever, you will be cleaning for days and weeks down the line you will run into some identifiable crud somewhere.
This is another night we eat dinner out.

After I presented my pressure cooker blew up a hatefulShelf in the cellar. I vowed I would never groped to cook dinner in anything again, I simply did not understand what was the stove for me, I never had a problem (and still do not) with my giant pressure cooker that is used for 'cannery.

I was in my word for 10 years and have never been so touched that stove for 10 years. Then one day I was through the food section of the newspaper when I came across the best-sounding recipe for looking peppers. It 'been a "white chili". Oh myLuckily it was cooked in a pressure cooker! Of course, I cut the recipe and put in my file. Every good cook has one, you know the recipe files that you want to try to get it. I remind myself out loud: "I'm not going to do this in a pressure cooker, I'll make it on the stove, where it is supposed to try kilos."

A weeds later, I woke up to 3 cm of snow and waited for another 3. I thought
Myself, "this would be a great day for making soups orChili. "I was in a real mood to cook so I took my recipe files and started across. Not even Mom knows and must find a way, everything. But I find it strange that none of them so far that I have ever asked me if I have good pressure cooker recipes. Only my husband, children, and my nearest neighbors (which I had no choice but to call on one occasion) knows this experience. All were threatened with physical harm if ever a word to anyone.

After last year I have this confusiondecided for good that I would never use new dish. For one, I decided only he could not control a pressure cooker, and secondly I had no intention of diving in the business of decorating work. So, now I do not give into temptation, once again I took the demon out of the courtyard, filled it with dirt and planted a flower in it. Then I hit on and regulators in the trash.

Now you might ask, if everyone in my family ever noticed, my plate was in the courtyard with aFlower in it. Well, of course not, because it is planted, placed in a large vase of flowers, where they grow the most beautiful that you never Bignonias your eyes on.
